Worship. Nurture. Outreach.
We seek to glorify God in three ways:
First, to lead our community to worship God.
Second, to nurture our people to be more like Jesus.
Third, to reach people, near and far, with the gospel.
Who We Are
Wintersburg is an predominantly Asian American church in Orange County. We're over a hundred years old, started as a gospel mission to Japanese Migrant workers in 1904. Today, we welcome anyone from any ethnic background to find out what this church thing is all about. If you're wondering who God is, and why Jesus is kind of a big deal, then we'd love to talk.
By God's grace, Wintersburg has been a church for over a century. Founded in 1904 as a mission to migrant Japanese farm workers in Huntington Beach, California. Over the years we've been in three or four buildings and moved around, but our members continue the legacy that God has laid out before us. Our church has survived two world wars, internment camps, the civil rights movement, and through it all, God has been faithful.
Lord willing, we aim to be around another century. Some of our members can trace their ancestry to the early days of our church while others have only recently joined. We're looking to build on the work of those who went before us in order to pass on the gospel ministry to those who come after us. We mix the benefits of an inter-generational church with youthful energy devoted to the mission here and abroad.
